We’ve paused referrals for now. Sign up to early access to hear when they’ll restart.

We’re making broadband simple, for good. Lots of people need to know about that. So here’s the question. What will make you tell your friends about a random, new broadband supplier? Well, we thought a good place to start would be by making it free*.

Did someone say free broadband?

Free broadband 101

We’ve been building this scheme for a while. Here’s our primer.

  1. How does the scheme work?
  2. How are rewards calculated?
  3. How much can I win?
  4. Tactics to win
  5. Top lines to tell your friends

1. How does the scheme work?

It’s simple. You register your details (no commitment to switch!) for early access. All we need is your address, current internet provider and email. You’ll then we be one of the first to join Cuckoo’s early access flock! And once we’re able to connect you onto our network, we’ll send you an early access code.

You’ll also then be emailed an exclusive referral link. Use this link to share with friends (tactics on how to do this below!) and get them to sign up to the early access list. Not that hard right? All they need to do is give their email, address and current provider.

2. How are rewards calculated?

Simple. Refer 1 friend to be in with a chance of winning free broadband for a year. Simply get your friends and family to register their email and postcode on cuckoo.co, using your referral link. We’ll then randomly pick a winner out of everyone who has referred a friend!

We’ll keep you updated about how you’re doing via email. Watch that spam folder! The counter will reset every two weeks.

Check your emails on these days!

3. How much can I win?

£420 worth of free Cuckoo broadband. Not that bad! As we get bigger, we’re aiming to widen the rewards scheme and expand the type of rewards you get. So let us know what else you’d like to win.

4. Tactics to win

We’ve trawled the internet and our own brains for the best tactics. Here’s what we’ve come up with.

  • Target networks: If you know a blog or someone with a large social following, post it on their comments or better yet team up with them.
  • Use your public social media: Refer friends on Instagram and Twitter with cool pics and even cooler top lines. We’ll feature you on our channels as well.
  • Share at work: Everyone is working from home now. Why not share your link after your Zoom, WebEx, Teams and Slack drops connection?
  • Trawl your personal chats: You’d be surprised how many group chats you’re in on Whatsapp. Ping on a link?

5. Toplines to tell your friends

Use these top lines to convince your friends.

  • Let’s share free broadband worth £420 a year. We can team up and share free broadband by sharing the same referral link.
  • We’re doing good for the world. One deal, one price and a one-month rolling contract. We can save £130 a year vs the average broadband bill. Cuckoo also streams 1% of revenues to get people in need onto the internet.
  • Join a movement: We’re building a community. Get behind the scenes in Cuckoo’s blog and we’ve also been in the press.
  • Get the Cuckoo team to help with your Wi-Fi: Lots of broadband experts at Cuckoo HQ. If you’re having issues get in touch or read Help.
